‘Fast and Furious 8’ Cast: Melissa McCarthy Joins Franchise; Release Date Set To 2017
There is so much to know about the upcoming movie in the “Fast and the Furious” franchise. Vin Diesel, 47, has teased fans with a photo posted on his Instagram. It looks like the next time you see the Fast & Furious gang, it will be exploring New York. The cast will be heading to Manhattan in 2017, the new sequel “Furious 8” is all set to release on 14 April, 2017.
There had been many doubts for “Furious 8” to be rolled out because of Paul Walkers death but as the franchise 7th part “Furious 7” has hit the bank amounts, it definitely seems a win-win situation. There have been no strings left unturned to promote the next installation of the franchise which is to be produced by Vin Diesel and Neal H. Moritz. Cody Walker is rumoured to make a comeback in the movie.
Even Jordana Brewster, 35, who played the wife, Mia Toretto of late Paul Walker’s character Brian O’Conner in the franchise, has yet to respond to rumours of her return. She believes that it totally depends on public demand.
It is also said that the next addition “Furious 8” will see a lot more of Kurt Russell, who made his franchise debut in “Furious 7.” Russell plays a government agent with the super badass themed name Mr. Nobody in “Furious 7” and if Vin Diesel is to be believed, he was hired because of a story that follows him and that is what going to take the gang to New York.
The updates of the “Fast 8” movie don’t stop here. Melissa McCarthy who has received many appraises for her role in “Spy” is believed to be a valuable addition the next “Fast & Furious” intallment. Jason Statham who played Deckard Shaw in “Furious 7” will also be returning and so is the co-star Dwayne Johnson as Hobbs for “Fast8.”
