G-Dragon Enters ‘BoF 500’ List, BIGBANG Fashion Icon Curates Art And Music Exhibit In Seoul
BIGBANG-leader-cum-fashionista G-Dragon recently made it to the yearly “BoF 500” list. Read On!
Business of Fashion annually honor individuals “who shape the global fashion industry” as reported by All K-pop. These citations are established from votes coming from Business of Fashion members which are then accompanied with research and data analysis.
The trendy 27-year-old scored a spot as the only K-Pop act of the five individuals handpicked from Korea, which consisted of designers and CEOs of major Korean companies. The global listing for this year is a procession of head honchos of coutures, business executives, mass media personalities, tech visionaries, hip stylists, forward-thinking directors and youthful muses that coerce together in, pushing the fashion realm to another spectrum.
In detail, this included Chanel and Fendi front-runner Karl Lagerfeld, omnipresent reality tv star Kendall Jenner and so on. Only four musicians made it this year with the aforementioned G-Dragon joining Rihanna, Kanye West and Chinese pop singer Li Yuchun.
The “Coup D’Etat ‘+ One of a Kind & Heartbreaker” artist infamously made a raucous during the Paris Fashion Week in 2012, when he ramped his way through a dizzying flash of cameras donning pink hair and skinny black jeans almost wrapped in gold studs.
Two months ago G-Dragon was featured in an article in Dazed, wherein it mentioned his discrimination for big league fashion houses like Givenchy, Saint Laurent, Rick Owens and Balmain made it his springboard to finally be closer with the fashion elite and vice versa. The Korean artist immediately managed to rubbed elbows with Kristen Stewart, Lily Rose Depp, Julianne Moore and Kanye West.
G-Dragon may have spent a lot of time overseas, but just recently he curated an art and music exhibit at the Seoul Museum of Art (SeMA). The said affair as cited by KPop Starz, was a mishmash of contemporary art and music. It brought about the attention of BIGBANG and G-Dragon fans to the exhibits inside the museum.
Did you come to an agreement that G-Dragon’s non-compromising wardrobe and colorfully-streaky hairstyle pushes him to be a member of the “BoF 500?”
