Essie Davis joins ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 6
The directors of popular television series, “Game of Thrones” are leaving behind no chance to make it a hit again. Since the announcement of Season 6, the viewers have been coming across new names to be part of the coming season. A very recent list of the star cast says that Australian actress, Essie Davis will also be the part of this much awaited GoT season.
There have been no confirmed news from GoT directors or the actress herself but Variety reports that they have exclusively founded it through an uncovered source.
The 45-year-old actress is known for her role in “The Babadook” that released last year. Her biggest movie roles are in “The Matrix Reloaded” and “The Matrix Revolution”.
Telling about the role of Davis in Game of Thrones The Hollywood Reporter said that she will play a member of a traveling theater in Braavos. During the play-within-a-show, Davis will mirror the character of Cersei Lannister.
Other stars who joined in the GoT Family are Ian McShane , Pilou Asbæk, and Freddie Stroma.
“Game of Thrones” has already been renewed for season 6 and 7, although speculations are that it will end after season 8.
David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are currently planning to wind “Game of Thrones” down towards its conclusion. HBO president Michael Lombardo recently but reluctantly confirmed Benioff and Weiss are planning for the show to conclude with its eighth season.
Well, that’s three more seasons worth of stories, which could also mean three more seasons worth of time for Jon Snow to return. The series will go on air in April 8, 2016.
With this news, we are sure that the audience would be more eager than before to see the upcoming season of their favorite, “Game of Thrones”.
