‘Game of Thrones’ King Joffrey Doesn’t Watch The Show Anymore
King Joffrey, First of His Name, King of the Andals and the First Men is dead and it has brought so much joy to “Game of Thrones” fans when his character finally died after being so cruel, for a couple of seasons. However, Jack Gleeson who played Joffrey in the hit HBO series is pretty much alive and kicking and he has recently expressed that he doesn’t like “GOT” anymore. Is this out of bitterness that his character was killed off or is there something else?
Gleeson hates “Game of Thrones for the same reason a lot of people do… here’s what he said:
“You know the willing suspension of disbelief, it’s kind of hard to suspend, because you kind of know that the sets aren’t real, and you kind of know that the actors aren’t really characters – obviously people know that anyway, but you’re able to convince yourself more when you haven’t actually seen the thing in real life. So I find it hard to watch.”
So basically, Gleeson doesn’t watch “Game of Thrones” anymore because he can’t accept the fact that it isn’t real and the characters are all just… acting. That being said, it only means that this actor is very much committed to what he does and it showed – he was an effective “villain” in the show and WE.ALL.HATED.HIS.CHARACTER. Well played, Gleeson, well played.
It is refreshing to know that some actors feel this way towards their shows after they’ve left because there are some actors who just don’t watch their own shows or couldn’t be bothered at all about their shows after they’ve left it. Now that Glesson has left “Game of Thrones” he’s not watching it anymore because he’s too disappointed about the fact that the characters he worked with are all just acting.
Well, if “Game of Thrones” is real, we would be waiting for Deanery’s dragons to just pop out in the sky and there would be overflowing wine and we would be in such awesome wardrobe. I wonder which side people will take when they are caught in the middle of the fight for the Iron Throne.
