George Clooney One Of The Biggest Losers Of 2015
The big names don’t ensure big success for any movie and it is certainly proved by the recent list released by Forbes. The list is titled as big flops of 2015 by Forbes which includes films starring celebrities like Johnny Depp, George Clooney and Bradley Cooper to name a few. The list is topped by comedy film “Rock the Kasbah” featuring Bill Murray and Kate Hudson which allegedly lost approximately $12 million on the box-office. According to BBC, George Clooney, recipient of Golden Globe Awards three times could not save the sci-fi adventure “Tomorrowland.” Though, the film comes at number fourteen in the list but came as the big shock when failed to respond at the box-office. The 54-year-old Clooney alone could not save the Disney flick, despite saving on the figure of collection the film failed big time in all.
Johnny Depp lead starrer action comedy “Mortdecai” made to top ten. The film is based on the book anthology of a similar name along with featuring Gwyneth Paltrow opposite to Depp. The film failed badly at the cinemas and was universally slammed by critics.
Irrespective of extensive marketing and attaching trailers to big shot flicks, it failed to gain attention at the box-office. “Mortdecai” even failed to surpass the budget of $60 million through box-office.
In a scandalous revelation of “Aloha,” it was claimed that Pascal, a senior executive of Sony Pictures Entertainment called its script as ridiculous. Irrespective of the scandalous publicity the Cameron Crowe directorial failed to respond at the box-office. “Aloha” was made with the budget of $37 million and could collect only $26.3 million.
Well, the list certainly is big and has several big shot names along with George Clooney and Johnny Depp.
