Almost after a decade the badass Major Motoko Kusanagi of “Ghost in The Shell” is heading back the big screen as the first feature film in “Ghost in The Shell: The New Movie.” FUNimation Entertainment has declared the release dates and unveiled a brand new trailer and set of new photos. Check out!

As per reports FUNimation Entertainment has set North America release date for “Ghost in The Shell: The New Movie.” The sci-fi franchise will be aired over 330 cinemas covering the United States and Canada November 10, 11 and 16.

According to Coming Soon, DreamWorks Picture is presently working on the live-action movie “Ghost in The Shell” pre-production, helmed by Rupert Sanders, featuring Scarlett Johansson. The movie is anticipated to hit the theaters on Mar. 31, 2017.

Founder and CEO of FUNimation, Gen Fukunaga expresses his deep gratitude to fans who have been patiently waiting since the Arise series. He then promised the new franchise to be a full of activity movie, while he also mentions “‘Ghost in The Shell’ will “truly be an iconic franchise in the world of anime.”

The trailer seems to present a lot of amazing visual footage anticipated from this cyberpunk extravaganza, with a track from Grasslands by Ramzoid playing in the background, mingling perfectly with Momoko’s poetic soliloquy while the Major seems to be plunging in some kind of cyber word.

According to Comicbook,  the plot of the “Ghost in The Shell: The New Movie” is set in ultra-modern post world war Japan. It was said that in that future setting science and technology have developed to a considerable amount allowing mankind to reduce suffering and giving them a choice to extend life with the help of worldly-wise cybernetics. The ghosts would be personified as system linkage between man, and the greatest threat to society would be the cyber terrorists.

While Fire-Starter virus becomes the result of murdering Japanese Prime Minister, Major Motoko Kusanagi along with her best squad is called in for special operatives to curb down the sources. As the investigation traverse deeper they discover and expose administrative frauds with a nebulous broker who fetches an accustomed face.
