‘Ghostbusters’ reboots with 4 new character poster
Paul Feigs’ “Ghostbusters” has recently released four new character posters of the movie, which is going viral across different websites. Each of the four posters display close-up image of main casts along with logo of the movie and a tagline “who you gonna call.”
Yahoo Movies reports that each of the posters display a “Ghostbusters” iconography to which audience is already familiar. The poster display a proton pack, the particle thrower, the ghost trap and the logo of the team. In two of the posters there is a hint given on characters’ personality like the poster carrying Leslie Jones character image has a necklace with her name on it. Similarly the poster carrying character image of Kate McKinnon carries a nuclear logo with a heart at the centre.
IGN reports that the “Ghostbusters” poster release gives a personal and close look into the ghost-busting gears of the crews. Feig also gives a little details of the characters in the movies. Kristen Wiig will play the role of Erin Gilbert. In the movie she is the particle physicist, academic firebrand and spectral warrior. Melissa McCarthy is going to play the role of Abby Yates. In the movie Abby is the paranormal researcher, supernatural scientist and entity trapper. Leslie Jones plays the role of Patty Tolan. In the movie Patty is the ghost tracker, municipal historian and metaphysical commando. Kate McKinnon plays the role of Jillian Holtzman. Jillian is a nuclear engineer, munition expert and proton wrangler.
In an interview, Feig appreciates his casts in “Ghostbursters” and said that they played the role with their unique skill of voice and style of comedy. The “Thor” star Chris Hemsworth is there in the film playing a supporting role to the female characters. Neil Casey will be playing the role of Rowan, the main villain in the film. The film will be releasing in theatre in July 2016.
