Girl Meets World Update [WATCH VIDEO]

The highly anticipated “Boy Meets World” spin-off, “Girl Meets World,” is only a month away before it airs on June 27, 2014, at 9:45 p.m. on Disney Channel. However, its time slot will be moved to 8:30 p.m. by July 11, 2014. We will not keep you guys waiting. Read on to find out more about the “Girl Meets World” update.

E! Online had the scoop that Cory’s (Ben Savage) baby brother Joshua (Uriah Shelton) will appear in the holiday episode. He will be “Uncle Joshua” now. We last saw him as a toddler, with Cory giving him some life lessons. Don’t believe us? You can see it for yourself. Watch the video from The Hollywood Reporter HERE.

Rider Strong (Shawn Hunter), Betsy Randle (Amy Matthews) and William Russ (Alan Matthews) will also be reprising their respective roles. “Girl Meets World” will not only serve as a spin-off but also a reunion of its “Boy Meets World” cast. Unfortunately, not all will be present. Will Friedle, who plays big brother Eric Matthews has confirmed to Mashable that he won’t be part of “Girl Meets World.”

“I will only be involved in the show as a fan,” said Friedle in the Mashable report.

“I know rumors got around that I would be joining, but I have no plans to be on right now. Who knows what will happen — if there is a reunion show, I would go and be with everyone, but Ben [Savage] and Danielle [Fishel] will be great introducing it to a new audience,” Friedle added.

Despite Friedle’s absence, this is still going to be excitement overload for fans of the show as Disney launches Rowan Blanchard and Ben Savage’s wand ID. Now what is a wand ID? For those who do not know, a wand ID is an image where a cast draws Mickey’s ears using a wand. As kids, we know you did it too, admit it or not! Watch their wand IDs at E! Online HERE.

Meanwhile, one of the things that makes a show unforgettable is its opening credits and theme song. The show’s theme song is entitled “Take on the World,” and it was performed by no other than the stars Rowan Blanchard and Sabrina Carpenter. It is already available on iTunes as of May 19, 2014.

The Wrap already posted the opening credits on their side along with the credits of “Boy Meets World.” Click HERE  to see it. Just watching it brings back lots of childhood memories, and we could not help but feel nostalgic over and over again.

There you have it for the “Girl Meets World” update. Its pilot episode will air on Friday, June 27, 2014, at 9:45 p.m. on Disney Channel. The time slot will be moved to 8:30 p.m. on July 11, 2014.
