“Glee” actor Mark Salling was arrested on suspicion of child pornography possession, on Dec. 29. He was taken into custody after the Los Angeles police arrived at his home with a search warrant. He was then released on $20,000 bail in the afternoon, on the same day.

According to NBC News, Salling was actually arrested at his home in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Sunland. The LAPD’s Internet Crimes Against Children unit reached the “Glee” star’s home in the morning at around 7 a.m., as per the statement of the authorities. The actor was taken into the downtown Los Angeles jail.

Salling was released on $20,000 bail after facing a felony charge, at 2:26 p.m., based on the inmate records of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, reported KTLA 5.

The pictures found on Salling’s computer were of minors of less than 15 and 16 years old, reported TMZ. According to Crime Watch Daily, the authorities found “hundreds” of pictures on one of his personal devices.

Indeed, the police seized his computer and other electronic devices when he refused to share his password during the search.

The actor is famous for his character Noah “Puck” Puckerman in the FOX television series “Glee” from 2009 to 2015. He has also starred in “Adi Shankar’s Gods and Secrets,” an upcoming HBO superhero flick.

It is quite shocking to know that Salling was arrested for child porn possession. This is not the first time that the actor has been involved in public scandal. Earlier in 2013, “he was sued by an ex-girlfriend alleging sexual battery,” reported the source. He was charged $2.7 million as a settlement in that case.
