George Prajin Confirms Imminent Fight Between Ronda Rousey and Cris Cyborg; Cris Slams Ronda

Cris Cyborg recently reacted at Ronda Rousey’s allegations via Twitter. Will the fight between the two UFC warriors finally happen? Read on for more details.

Current FC World Featherweight Champion Cris Cyborg, real name Cristiane Justino Venancio, took to Twitter and attacked Rousey because of the statement the latter made at Reddit.

This came after the 28-year-old UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion answered a query in an AMA session at Reddit for an honest opinion about the Brazilian fighter. She saidg was just waiting for a higher pay that’s why the fight is not happening yet.

“I know for a fact she can make the weight. She consulted with Mike Dolce (my current nutritionist) before I ever started working with him and after consulting with her he said he could get her in ‘the best shape of her life’ at 135,” Cyborg said.

Rousey went on to say that Cyborg needed her and that her camp is waiting for Cyborg to realize it. For her, time is running out for Cyborg.

However, Cyborg, 30, said it was not because of money why the fight is not happening yet. She noted Dana White as saying there were no deals made in the first place so she could not bid for a bigger sum.

White previously debunked statements from Tito Ortiz who claimed UFC offered Cyborg a match against Rousey. White slammed it, saying Ortiz’ claim were nothing but lies., Yahoo Sports reported.

White also said UFC does not hold discussions with Ortiz, so there was no way Ortiz could have known what the mixed martial arts promotion company was planning in case a Cyborg versus Rousey match was in development. He revealed there were no fights proposed to Cyborg that time.

But a different story is coming out from ESPN, Cyborg’s manager George Prajin revealed there were various conversations already made between them and UFC in the previous week. He said a potential fight could happen between the UFC champions.

“What I can say, and the only reason I say this is because of what is going on between Tito and Dana — I can confirm that I had multiple conversations with the UFC in the last week regarding Cris and a potential fight [against Rousey] in December,” Prajin told ESPN.

Prajin said the fight is scheduled on Dec. 5, 2015 at Cowboys Stadium.

When ESPN asked UFC for a comment, the company declined.
