The Good Wife Recap: Season 5 Finale Episode 22 A Weird Year [WATCH VIDEO]

“The Good Wife” Season 5 Episode 22 “A Weird Year” aired on Sunday, May 18, 2014, at 9:00 p.m. on CBS. Will Alicia run as state attorney? Read on to learn more about MNG’s “The Good Wife” recap of Season 5 Episode 22 “A Weird Year.”

Previously on “The Good Wife” (“A Weird Year” Season 5 Episode 22), it was Zach’s (Graham Phillips) graduation, and the grannies, Veronica (Stockard Channing) and Jackie (Mary Beth Peil), were insisting to help prepare the food. Jackie was shocked to find out about Alicia (Julianna Margulies) and Peter’s (Chris Noth) living arrangements.

At Lockhart-Gardner, Howard Lyman (Jerry Adler) was the undecided vote for the managing partnership. The duo, Louis (Michael J. Fox) and David (Zach Grenier), were trying to get him into their side. What these fellows did not know was that the Florrick-Agos learned about their meeting and their plan of destroying the firm through a webcam. Be careful next time, guys!

How would David and Louis destroy Alicia and her partners? Well, through an adoption before that did not turn out well. The supposed to be parents sued both firms. Lockhart-Gardner said it was Alicia who tried to bribe the council. Florrick-Argos, on the other hand, claimed it was David and his partners. If the Florrick-Argos loses ChumHum, they would also lose 75 percent of their income.

Cary (Matt Czuchry) saw Diane (Christine Baranski) giving instructions to Kalinda (Archie Panjabi) about the merging. He obviously was not happy about it. However, Alicia wanted to push through with it. She told him that she already got the votes to make everything happens. Cary would still not let it be done. After spending some quality time in bed with Kalinda, Cary left without a word. He went to meet with Louis, telling him about the merging and urging him to stop it.

Meanwhile, Eli (Alan Cumming) was going crazy about Finn (Matthew Goode) dropping on the run as the state attorney. Peter would not endorse Finn. He was eyeing Diane instead. Alicia learned about Cary’s betrayal and Diane’s offer to run.

Diane went to Florrick-Argos and offered herself and her $38 million worth of client billing. She turned down the offer to run. As for Alicia, she was feeling a little blue since Zach would be going to Georgetown for a summer job.

In a scene with Eli, he asked Alicia if she wanted to run as state attorney. We got a “What?” for an answer. Then, the show wrapped up.
