The Good Wife Season 6: What You Need to Know [WATCH VIDEO]
One day before “The Good Wife” airs, we manage to score some scoop on what you need to know before Season 6 premieres on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2014, at 9:00 p.m. on CBS.
According to International Business Times U.S. Edition, the premiere episode will be entitled as “The Line.” Our dear Alicia (Julianna Margulies) is still resolved on her decision on not to run as State Attorney. However, Eli (Allan Cumming) is not giving up as he tries to convince Alicia to run. Diane (Christine Baranski), on the other hand, will consider transferring to Florrick-Agos as partner. What happens then to Cary (Matt Czuchry)? Moreover, an internal conflict is also brewing to destroy the firm.
Picking up from the turn of events in Season 5, Cary heard Kalinda (Archi Panjabi) while talking to Diane about using him for intel, and that issue will be dealt with in Season 6.
“The bottom line is, none of that is forgotten,” stated creator Robert King to TV Line.
Going back to Alicia refusing to launch a campaign, Peter (Chris Noth) will support her decision, but not for long. A big revelation is coming, and it will change Peter’s mind according to TV Guide.
Meanwhile, Season 6 will also welcome new and recurring cast: Kyle MacLachlan comes back as Josh Perotti and Carrie Preston as Elsbeth Tascioni. In severail episodes, Taye Diggs (“Private Practice”) will appear as Dean Levine-Wilkins, an equity partner at Lockhart-Gardner. Steven Pascual (“Rescue Me”) will make a guest appearance as Elfman, a top campaign manager who Eli is tapping to help in Alicia’s campaign should she decides to run. David Hyde Pierce (“Frasier”) will appear as a legal commentator on cable news who runs in office because he is disgusted of the corruption and crime in Chicago. Connie Nielsen (“The Following”) stars as Rona. She has connections in Cook County. Gloria Steinem will also be featured in the show as herself, although there are no further details yet about her role.
