Gotham Season 1 Recap: Selina Kyle
Can we just say that it’s such a relief to not see Batman, the hero with a black suit, cape and pointy ears? It was not that we hate him, but we had enough of him. Anyway, check out “Gotham Season 1 Episode 2 “Selina Kyle,” which aired on Monday, Sept. 29, 2014, at 8:00 p.m. on FOX. Read on for the full recap below.
Detective James Gordon and his partner, Harvey Bullock, was out to solve a crime when they encountered kidnappers who are under the guise as good people. But in reality, they kidnap children and transport them somewhere far to someone called the Dollmaker. Selina was around the crime scene again! This is getting suspicious.
It was quite funny that these kidnappers were very easy to catch or maybe we just have a good detective. Aside from that, let us not forget that Gordon was keeping a huge secret now that he let Cobblepot escape. How will Fish Mooney react to that when he finds out?
We also saw what Cobblepot was up to. He came across some men whom he shared a drink with. Then the scene changed to Fish Mooney’s nightclub, where Falcone was talking to her and telling her how nervous he is because of what happened to Bruce Wayne’s parents. Mooney made it clear to him that she wasn’t looking for someone to have a relationship with and the only man she plans to keep in her life is Laslow.
Mooney told Butch Gilzean, her right-hand man, that she needed more people and more money. She also needed to expand her territory. She has also started talking to Gordon again after she tried to kill him and his partner.
An episode of “Gotham” wouldn’t be complete without some action, and a shootout occurred in a pharmacy where Bullock and Gordon got ambushed by the kidnappers. This led Gordon to find the place where the kidnappers were hiding the children that they have kidnapped. We also found out that Selina was going to juvenile detention and the bus that she was about to ride was operated by the kidnappers, but she was left out while the others were put in a container to be transported to The Dollmaker. Selina even created a diversion to help Gordon in saving the children and she also offered to tell him who really killed Bruce’s parents as she was again, at the crime scene when it happened.
