Gotham Season 1 Recap: Welcome Back, Jim Gordon

Gotham” Episode 13 “Welcome Back, Jim Gordon” brought in Gordon’s return as a detective with a new case to handle. Read below for the full recap.

Fish Mooney was in the custody of someone named Bob. He is a sadist and has been torturing her since she got there. Mooney didn’t go down without a fight, though, and spat a lot of hateful words towards Bob. However, it only made Bob torture her more. Luckily for Mooney, Butch was able to escape from his captors and has managed to rescue her. Once they were safe and together, Mooney’s next move was to kill Penguin.

Meanwhile, Penguin was showing off his new club to his mom when Gordon walked in and asked for his help. What did Gordon need? Well, he had a case to solve that involves a cop in the office named Delaware, who seemed to be into drugs. They took in a witness who was killed. Of course, Gordon wanted to get to the bottom of things. Bullock warned him not to go too far, especially when they found out that the drugs they found in Delaware was part of a Narco operation. Then the case was turnover to Internal Affairs, which gave Delaware his freedom. Still, Gordon insists on taking on the case. Bullock tried to stop him by telling him that Flass was protected by high rollers. That’s when he asked Penguin’s help to extract information from Delaware to expose Flass. And he got what he wanted in the end. Although he was a bit surprised when Delaware begged him not to kill his family. Oh, Penguin.

Bullock rescued Mooney during the shootout. She asked him never to come back to Gotham again while Butch was killed.

We finally got to see the young Bruce Wayne in this episode who was looking for Selina Kyle.
