The premise for the Netflix comedy is undeniably one of a kind. The show revolves around Grace (Fonda) and Frankie (Tomlin), who got the shock of their lives when their husbands announced that they are in love with each other and are leaving them. Now the two women have no recourse but to live together and support each other as they embark on this new and unprecedented situation.

The show’s first season received mixed reviews as it struggled to find its footing. While the critics acknowledged Fonda and Tomlin’s talent for comedy and drama, they lamented about the clichéd storylines and uneven dialogue. But it was able to redeem itself in its second season.

Will Grace And Frankie’s Business Succeed?

Grace and Frankie’s second season soon had critics praising it for its heartfelt and hilarious situations. It also helped that there was an influx of memorable characters like Babe. The season ended with the two women making up and deciding to start a business together – selling vibrators geared toward other older women.

The show’s success and novelty had fans wondering what is in store for season 3. According to the Morning Ledger, Grace and Frankie fans will be seeing the friendship between the two women deepen. There is also the possibility that the perspective of other characters will also be touched on.

Co-creator Marta Kaufman also teased that the next season would deal with health, vulnerability and fear. As painful as it is to admit, most have never considered the possibility that their parents are alone at home, feeling vulnerable and afraid in their old age. However, it is something that Grace and Frankie will portray in depth when the series returns in 2017.
