The episode picked up right after the events of the previous episode, “Graceland” Season 3 Episode 4 “Aha,” which aired on Friday, July 17, 2015. Ari Adamian (Rhys Coiro) revealed former FBI Agent Colby Moore’s (Evan Jones) dead and tortured body to undercover FBI Agent Paul Briggs (Daniel Sunjata). Ari then revealed that Colby had not given anyone up. He told Briggs that he wouldn’t be able to work for him anymore because of his association with Colby, and as Toros Berbarian (Val Lauren), Martun Sarkissian’s (Peter Stormare) nephew, was going to take over his business. Martun didn’t trust him as they now all knew that Ari and Layla Sarkissian (Maryam Cne) had been seeing each other.
After reporting this to FBI Special Agent in Charge Sean Logan (Lawrence Gillard), he decided to stay on the case in order to avenge Colby. It was even if Logan was giving him a way out, something that thoroughly shocked pregnant FBI Agent Catherine “Charlie” DeMarco (Vanessa Ferlito), when Briggs told them what had happened. Everyone, except DEA Agent Paige Arkin (Serinda Swan), decided not to get involved with Briggs’ plans with the Sarkissians. They realized that everything ended up with a “body,” and that “justice” somehow never got served. Paige, on the other hand, decided to help Briggs. She felt guilty for burning the wrong fingers, which caused Ari to realize that he had been set up.
Afterwards, Briggs went into FBI Agent Mike Warren’s (Aaron Tveit) room looking for “enlightenment” regarding Colby’s death. He advised him to continue looking into what his next case was meant to be based on his visions.
Meanwhile, the rest of the house became concerned about Charlie who was running herself thin, misplacing her things, and even accidentally triggered a smoke alarm.
However, after ten days of searching the dark web, Mike finally across the case that fit his vision.
He managed to track down an exchange in which a parcel was going to be picked up at the docks at seven o’clock the next evening. Also, the shipment was going to be in a container which had the number forty-seven, the number in his visions, in it. Also, the one’s doing the exchange were usernames VinXXX and Huma9. Mike reasoned out that V was the shape the hands of a clock are at 10:10, X is the roman numeral for X, and a “huma” is a Persian mythological creature similar to the phoenix who gets reborn into a red bird. All of these had been present in his vision.
Briggs and Mike then staked out the shipment. They discovered that the parcel was picked up by a twenty-year-old Balinese grafter named Gusti “Vin” Kandek Pendit (Mahedi Rakib), whom Mike was able to go to undercover with thanks to ICE Agent Dale “DJ” Jakes (Brandon Jay McLaren). Mike also managed to swipe some oxycodone from Charlie’s stash. She was supposed to be “selling” it as part of her case, in order to catch Germaine Marsden (Russ Bain).
Meanwhile, Briggs orchestrated things so that the Caza Cartel, who was at constant war with the Solanos, would raid the Solano house. It was in order for FBI Agent Johnny Tuturro (Manny Montana) escape with Lucia Solano (Jamie Gray Hyder). However, Carlito Solano (Erik Valdez) managed to force Johnny into taking him past the Caza and revealed that he hated Lucia who always, unwillingly, took everything that he “loved.” Johnny then ran the car off the road, injuring Carlito, and walked him to the border where he was arrested, and where Johnny and Lucia parted ways.
Later that night, they toasted to Johnny’s success. He was the only one among them who had successfully put his target behind bars.
Briggs then told Paige that since he and Ari were good with each other, he was going to have Paige go undercover under Toros, so that no matter what, they would still have an “in” with the Sarkissians.
Later, Mike showed Briggs that upon picking Vin’s car trunk, he discovered that the crate had contained a Soviet weapon of mass destruction in a canister, which might be sarin gas or another chemical weapon of mass destruction.
