Graceland Season 2 Postmortem

Just a week ago, USA Network’s “Graceland” delivered a gripping and full of suspense Season 2 finale. It left the viewers hanging, with burning questions about the fate of the house and its inhabitants in the air, especially the fate of FBI Agent Mike Warren (Aaron Tveit). Meanwhile, show creator Jeff Eastin explained why hat happened happened. Read on to learn more about this scoop.

The very first question that the interview posed to Eastin was the fate of Mike Warren. The last time we saw him, he was flatlining on a hospital bed, and his doctors were trying to revive him. He replied by not giving an official yes or no but told TV Guide that Mike “looks” dead to him. He also mentioned to Entertainment Weekly that the third season would open with a very unhappy ICE Agent Dale Jakes (Brandon Jay McLaren) and FBI Agent Charlie De Marco (Vanessa Ferlito) getting ready to for a black tie event.

Regarding Mike, Eastin revealed that the first two seasons established the fact that both FBI Agent Paul Briggs (Daniel Sunjata) and Mike are the same, with Mike becoming more driven and more like Paul in the second season. They both tried to save people and do the right thing. However, more and more people were getting hurt. At the end of the season, Eastin said that Mike did have to pay for his sins somehow.

And what about Paul’s sins? Well, it seems like his atonement is still coming up. Right now, we do know that that tape which had recorded him accidentally murdering Juan Badillo is with Mike. If he were to depart, the tape will still be out there, up in the wind.

Regarding Sid Markham (Carmine Giovinazzo) and his plot for revenge against the Graceland team, Entertainment Weekly was informed that Sid will definitely be back. However, as he already knows the existence of the Graceland house, fans are wondering if the house will no longer be in play. Eastin revealed that Mike was the only one who knew that Sid has an idea about the house, so it will remain in play for a little while longer.

According to Eastin, FBI Agent Johnny Tuturro’s (Manny Montana) storyline will be very interesting in the third season. We left off with cartel leader Carlito Solano (Erik Valdez) using his own sister Lucia (Jamie Gray Hyder) as a hostage in order to get Johnny to cooperate with him and become his spy, especially as Johnny is in love with Lucia.

As for Charlie, she will be dealing with the post-traumatic stress disorder that she acquired after Amber had kidnapped her.

Another big thing that will be happening is that the third season will see Paul going back to how he was in the first season — aggressive and the house’s leader.

What do you think will happen to Mike? Will he still be around? Let us know by posting your comments below!
