Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin’s New Song “Everglow”: Do the Lyrics Give the Game Away?
Oh, the things we do to stay in the news! I am listening to the song, “Everglow” and my mind is wondering if my new theory about celebrities is right in some way.
Here’s what I am thinking. Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin have broken up after a really long and really happy marriage. There is no mess. They don’t call each other names. They don’t fight over who gets what after the divorce. They are so nice to each other that they claim to sit through therapy about Conscious Uncoupling and quickly forget whatever it was that pulled them apart. Then like couples that are still together, they have fun brunches together. They do vacations together, and here’s the clincher, they are even together on Thanksgiving, apparently for the kids. If I lived on Baker Street and went by the name of Sherlock Holmes, I’d say something isn’t right. If you like each other so much, why did you break up?
Here are the lyrics from the song “Everglow,” which Martin wrote with Gwyneth Paltrow, who even sang the song with Martin and his band Coldplay.
“Oh they say people come
They say people go
This particular diamond was extra special
And though you might be gone
And the world may not know
Still I see you celestial”
Huh? You think your ex-wife was a diamond? And the lyrics get more lovelorn as the song builds up into the second verse.
So what really happened here? I have a theory here. Think about it. A certain hot young rising stardates an ageing rocker. Voila! Coldplay is in the news again. Cough! Cough! But you didn’t hear that from us. This is something we heard from a friend of a friend who doesn’t want to be named.
In conclusion, we’d say the quest for fame makes you do strange things.
