Gwyneth Paltrow is not just acknowledged to be an award-winning actress. She is praised for her young looks despite her age. However, she received backlashes from her unreasonably pricey beauty regime and strange diet plan. Read on for more details.
The “health-obsessed” Paltrow introduced her own January detox diet, which has the key ingredients selected garden plants and seeds. The 42-year-old Oscar-winning actress published in her website Goop that the detox diet consists of a meal plan for seven days.
Paltrow promised that her diet plan would lead to weight loss and eliminate “heavy metals and pesticides” inside the body.
Some publications criticized her diet plan as well as beauty care. One famous British newspaper wrote that her skincare worth more than a thousand pounds could be purchased for less. Another one wrote that her detox plan could empty the users’ pockets and give them sleepless nights because of intense hunger.
According to MailOnline, the actress’s beauty care costs a staggering £14,000 per month. The publication’s other article suggested that possibly a £150 per month beauty regime is enough to meet the standards of Paltrow’s.
Paltrow was also allegedly busy with hair care, makeup and holistic body care, which are obviously far from being cheap.
One of Paltrow’s expensive routines for the sake of wellness and beauty is the Reiki stress reduction massage every month is worth £185 for one hour and 30 minutes. However, sources suggested that Pilates has the same benefits for only £80 per month in UK.
Paltrow is also a client at Los Angeles’s Be Hive of Healing center for vitamin therapy. Every session costs £289, and Paltrow allegedly undergoes with it once a month at least. It could reach up to £3,500 in one year. According to the Sunday Times, £5 vitamin supplements a month have the same benefits as Paltrow’s vitamin therapy.
Another indulgement of Paltrow is the Thermage laser treatment two times a year on her brows, face and neck. It was said to cost as much as £17,000. However, the price could be nothing for the “Iron Man” star who had an estimated net worth of £40 million.
