Gwyneth Paltrow And Her ‘Personal Failure’ With Ex-Husband, Chris Martin

A year after Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin announced their divorce, the Oscar-winner actress finally decided to open up about the “personal failure” she never expected to happen. Read on!
According to Vanity Fair, when the 43-year-old actress participated in a Q&A portion at Pearl xChange event hosted by the actress and fashion designer, Nicole Richie, Paltrow was asked about a certain part in her life that didn’t turn out to the way she expected it to be.
In response to this, everybody thought that she will only answer about her work or any failed film she had, yet, the “Iron Man” actress candidly said, “My marriage.” The site noted that despite from the fact that she called it as a “conscious uncoupling,” she considered it as a “personal failure.”
Paltrow revealed that she’s from a clan of people who never had a divorce and stayed married until the end, even her parents stayed married until her father died while she and Martin only lasted for 10 years.
“I really don’t come from a culture of divorce at all, and I had very high hopes for what my life could be,” the actress noted.
Paltrow went on to admit that it was difficult for her that she couldn’t stay married like her parents—“ I wasn’t able to be married to the father of my children for the rest of my life.”
“It was very challenging for me in terms of having to re-assess what that said about me, ideas that I had about that kind of failure,” she continued.
However, Paltrow was still grateful that even though her marriage was an ultimate failure, her ex-husband, on the other hand, is an amazingly good ex-husband and father to their two children, Apple and Moses.
Chris Martin, meanwhile, also had his separate interview about his marriage with Paltrow.
Based on People’s report, when Martin appeared on Australian radio show, the Coldplay front man admitted that a few years ago he was in a kind of “low place” in his life—he was down and confused about everything, but it went back to normal when he read a poem called “The Guest House” and a book called “Man’s Search for Meaning.
The 38-year-old singer admitted that he’ now in a much better place now and grateful for all the things he had in his life.
