‘Half-Life 3’ Not Having A Release; Valve Insider Confirms Company Not Interested In Investing To The Game.
Is it really true that “Half-Life 3” release date is not coming out as some fans expected? Seems like it could happen since an anonymous Valve insider reported it. Read on for more details.
Fans were excited when news about “Half-Life 3” released was brought up by some online game sites and geeks. However, it looks like fans should start panicking now as an anonymous informant from within Valve allegedly claims that the company itself announced that the release of “Half-Life 3” that everyone’s expecting will never happen!
According to The Know, an anonymous insider just spilled to their site that the state of “Half-Life 3” is not good—actually, it’s in the worst possible situation. According to the reporters of the website, Adam Kovic and Bruce Greene, love is over for gamers! Because “Half-Life 3” will never happen! Not even in your imagination!
Based on the video that the site releases, the source said that Valve is not interested in releasing “Half-Life 3.” They don’t have enough members in their team, in fact, they only have around 10 people working on the game development. Although the script, story and game events are complete, still, Valve is not invested in releasing the game, they even keep the game developers away from the game in order to keep it from not moving forward. Meaning, the game is in Valve’s bottom list of priorities.
The insider added that the company has reasons why they decided to not release “Half-Life 3.” The report reveals that one of the basis is due to the profits. Adding that developing a new game on the scale of HL3 would cost a lot of money—millions, in other words. Adding that the company doesn’t want to sacrifice their dollars with no guarantee that the game would give a profit. But, when it comes to outlet, this Valve’s reason is nonsense as they make a lot of money from their other micro-transaction based game.
Another reason is because Valve has been afraid of the negative backlash gamers just like what happen to “Mass Effect 3,” where gamers threw hatred over the ending of the game. The company is concerned about having those same reactions from the gamers, that they don’t want to that same fate to happen to their company’s banner franchise, “Half-Life.”
This made Movie Pilot to comment that maybe this is the end of “Half-Life3.”
