Previously on “Hannibal” (“Hassun” Season 2 Episode 3 air date: March 14, 2014), Will’s (Hugh Dancy) trial has begun, but the killings did not stop as a court bailiff was found dead similar to what Will was accused of. In the court room, the prosecutor presented the charges to Will: Marissa Schur (Holly Deveaux), stabbed on a wall of antlers; Georgia Madchen (Ellen Muth), burned alive in a hospital’s oxygen chamber; and Cassie Boyle, stabbed with antlers on a field.
Meanwhile, Hannibal (Mads Mikkelsen) seats with the audience in the courtroom while watching Will on trial. He was on his usual expressionless face amidst the prosecutor’s mentioning of the crimes alleged on Will’s doing. He managed to smile when the prosecutor described Will as “the smartest person in the room.”
Jack Crawford (Laurence Fishburne) awaited his turn to testify. Kade Prurnell (Cynthia Nixon) visited Jack for some questioning about Will’s involvement in his team at the Behavioral Sciences Unit. It was evident that Jack was still in denial that Will can do what he was accused of.
Brauer (Shawn Doyle), Will’s lawyer, taught him about the law that it was not always about the truth, rather about creating a perception. While having their conversation, a courier brought a mail. Brauer opened it and was surprised to find out a human ear.
