Early in the morning, Jerry Ortega (Jorge Garcia) was identified by a woman in a line up to be the main suspect in a string of home invasions. However, Jerry had only agreed to join the line up to make a little bit of money.
Meanwhile, while Lieutenant Commander Steve McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin) enjoyed a shave and a haircut from Odell Martin (Michael Imperioli) of Moku Cuts, an old style barbershop, whose clientele also included criminals, a teenaged boy named Eran (Steven Krueger) with a bleeding leg came in and asked for help. He told them that they, the Armenians, were after him as he had witnessed them executing a man. They then opened fire on the shop, and on Steve, while Odell brought him to the backroom and helped put pressure on the wound.
Back at the police station, Lieutenant Detective Chin Ho Kelly (Daniel Dae Kim) promised Jerry that he wouldn’t go to jail, and discovered that Jerry had been with Medical Examiner Dr. Max Bergman (Masi Oka), gambling at a Magic the Gathering tournament, during the time that the break in the previous night happened.
Afterwards, Chin Ho, Captain Lou Grover (Chi McBride) and Officer Kono Kalakaua (Grace Park) discovered that the perpetrator targeted single, newly divorced women who had all been clients of a particular law firm on the island, and that the violence towards each woman had gotten progressively worse during each robbery.
Chin Ho and Grover then went to the law firm, where they discovered that the perpetrator was Tauna Lahani (Pogi Tevaga), a mail room employee, who had been given a job thanks to his cousin, Levi Papani (Alden Ray), an outstanding clerk in the firm.
Meanwhile, Steve discovered that they couldn’t call 911 as Odell didn’t have a phone, and because his cellphone was in his car across the street. He then told Odell to take Eran to the hospital by going out the back door, but they came back in after trying, as there were two Armenians at the back. In order to buy them some time, since Steve’s ammunition was running out, Odell quickly closed the security gate in front to act as a shield.
After using the equipment inside to stop the bleeding, Odell informed Steve that the men, who were all under Garig Dobrian (Mark Ivanir), the head of the Armenians in the area, which meant that they wouldn’t stop until they killed Eran.
Outside, the Armenians disconnected the security cameras outside, bought a chainsaw, and shot a police officer who responded to a call that there were gunshots heard in the area.
Inside, Steve discovered that he couldn’t crawl through the air ducts to the florist’s shop next door, and learned that Odell was actually a lawyer and a graduate of Fordham, but had traded everything for a barbershop, as that was what he had really wanted to do, as his grandfather had been one. Thanks to Odell’s grandfather’s knowledge of how to make a Molotov cocktail using aftershave, they managed to gun down and fight off the Armenians, who had managed to break their way through the security gate thanks to the chainsaw that they had stolen. However, in the process, Eran got shot in the chest, and Steve left his gun with Odell just in case, and told them to go to the nearby hospital so that Eran could get treatment.
Steve then went after Dobrian, only to discover that Dobrian wanted Eran killed as Eran was his son, and because he had kidnapped and murdered children in their basement. Steve then managed to get to Eran just as he was about to escape on his father’s boat, with Odell as his hostage. However, Odell managed to hit him in the head, which gave Steve time to shoot him down.
Back at the Five-0 Headquarters, Dobrian agreed to help them investigate the murders that Eran had committed, and told him to go to their basement, where Steve found toys, stuffed dolls, and a box with photographs of all the children that Eran had killed.
