‘Hawaii Five-0’ Recap: ‘Ua ‘o’oloku Ke Anu I Na Mauna (The Chilling Storm Is On The Mountains)’

“Hawaii Five-0” Season 6 Episode 3 “ Ua ‘o’oloku Ke Anu I Na Mauna (The Chilling Storm is on the Mountains)“ aired last Friday, October 9, 2015 at 9:00 PM on CBS. In this episode, the team managed to solve three deaths in a row after the body of a well-known artist on the island was found floating dead at Rocke Piles Surf Break. Meanwhile, Officer Kono Kalakaua (Grace Park), Chin Ho Kelly (Daniel Dae Kim), Adam Noshimuri (Ian Anthony Dale), and the Five-0 Task Force, which now included Jerry Ortega (Jorge Garcia), discovered that they somehow could never escape the clutches of Gabriel Waincroft (Christopher Sean). On the other hand, Lieutenant Commander Steve McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin) and Catherine Rollins (Michelle Borth) had surprises for each other that would change their relationship forever. Read on to learn more about what happened to Kono and Adam, and to learn more about Steve’s and Catherine’s current relationship status.

The episode began with Officer Kono Kalakaua (Grace Park) realizing that the one who had killed the yakuza, staking out her and Adam Noshimuri’s (Ian Anthony Dale) house was Gabriel Waincroft (Christopher Sean), which caused Detective Lieutenant Chin Ho Kelly (Daniel Dae Kim) to suggest that they get in touch with the yakuza men’s boss in order to clarify that they had nothing to do with it. Chin Ho decided to put everyone in the Task Force and the police department is on the look out for Gabriel. Later, Chin Ho, after contacting the yakuza, told Kono that they had one week to find Gabriel.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant Commander Steve McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin), who was having the engagement ring picked up that very same day, became worried after hearing Catherine Rollins (Michlle Borth) speaking to someone in Pashtun over the phone.

At the Five-0 Task Force, Chin Ho helped Jerry Ortega (Jorge Garcia) get settled in a subbasement office as he was now their “special consultant,” while Detective Danny Williams (Scott Caan) made sure that his nephew, Eric Russo (Andrew Lawrence) managed to get to his first day on the job at the crime laboratory on time.

They were then faced with the body of a local artist who died that morning while collecting coral encrusted pieces at Rock Piles Surf Break, which he often turns into works of art. He had been killed while underwater by a gun, whose bullet was a match for a bullet that was taken out of a John Doe six weeks ago, who had also been found in the water.

On the way to Rock Piles, Steve expressed his concern regarding Catherine’s mysterious conversation, before going into the water, where he found the gun that had killed the artist.

Later, thanks to Eric, they managed to trace the gun to a gun range owner who told them that he had sold the gun to their John Doe, Miko Mosley (Eric Jabarri Combs).

His apartment was full of expensive suits and art, and they also found a money printing machine inside.

Meanwhile, Danny met up with Catherine, and asked if she was staying for good this time, as he didn’t want to see his friend’s heart get broken into a million pieces again. She then told him that the only place that she wanted to be was with Steve.

Meanwhile, Eric, upon tracking down the keys that were also found in the net, discovered an old GoPro containing footage of the day when a well-known surfer in the area died. Kono then managed to get that to his family.

After discovering that Miko had rented out a house from a man named Philip Kanae, they went to the rental house and Kanae’s house. There, they discovered that Kanae had been killed, and that the surveillance footage from the cameras that he bugged his house with was erased. However, thanks to Eric and Jerry, they managed to recover the footage, which showed that a man named Aaron James (Michael Maize), who had also rented the boat and whose key was a match for one of the keys that they had found, had killed Miko after learning that Miko, who had tried to buy drugs from him, was paying him with fake money.

However, on the way to transport James, the convoy was hit, and James was extracted.

Later, they discovered, thanks to his burner phone records that he was working for Gabriel.

Back at home, Steve discovered that Catherine had her bags packed and was ready to leave.

She apologized, and said that she understood that Steve wouldn’t wait for her, as she was going to go to Nepal to help out with the relief operations there.

However, later, it turned out that, that was just a cover story for a top secret assignment that she had just accepted.
