‘Hell’s Kitchen’ Season 14 Recap: The Never-Ending Kitchen Blunders
“Hell’s Kitchen” Season 14 Episode 3 “16 Chefs Compete” aired on Tuesday, Mar. 17, 2015, at 8:00 p.m. on FOX. The episode kicks off with Chef Gordon Ramsay explaining the team challenge. Read on to know what it is.
There is something fishy about the challenge as the chefs must wade through cold water to match severed heads and tails of fishes. After that, they should cook the fish they have matched.
Judging seems almost perfect because Chef Ramsay likes every dish. However, when Chef Ramsay found out that some of the Blue team cheated (Adam shared rice with Milly rather than making his own), the outspoken Michelin-star chef throws another temper tantrum. Of course, Blue team loses the challenge (again!). Chef Ramsay denies that it is because of Adam and Milly. He explains that the Red team’s dishes are just way better.
The punishment? It is a disgusting one for sure! After cleaning the kitchen (as always at Hell’s Kitchen), the men must eat jellyfish mixed with peanut butter sandwiches for lunch. Talking about nasty.
Blue team’s misfortune does not end with the fishy yet nutty sandwiches. While prepping, Randy bleeds from an injury. During dinner service, a tape is found on a dish (no thanks to Adam), a very hot pot is hidden below the counters (no thanks to Michael) and a lot of proteins are cooked carelessly (no thanks to everyone in the Blue team). It is also heartbreaking to see burnt pizzas (the horror!). Salty risottos, anyone?
For the second time, all teams are thrown out of the kitchen. Red team is making a mess as well with poorly-executed appetizers. Just imagine Chef Ramsay’s fury in that moment. Both teams must choose two people as nominees for elimination.
As expected, Michael is eliminated. Chef Ramsay cannot handle the fact that an accident could have happened with the extremely hot liquid on the floor.
