Hilary Duff Finally Opens Up about Divorce with Mike Comrie
Divorce often results either of two things: a better single life or a life much worse! For Hilary Duff, it seems to be the former, as she steps out with quite a comeback and opens up min the Cosmopolitan’s April 2015 issue.
A few weeks after she filed for a divorce from her husband Mike Comrie, Hilary Duff decides to tell the world the story behind her decision. During her interview with Cosmopolitan, Duff admitted that she and Comrie were very much happy and in love with each other at first, but the years slowly broke them apart. “[Marriage] wasn’t working well enough [for us] to stay together, but there was still a lot of love involved. It was just a slow set-in of us not being the match that we used to be,” she said.
Upon filing for the divorce on Feb. 20, Duff cited that she and Comrie separated on January 2013. All this time though, many have been speculating of a possible reconciliation due to them being seen together a lot, sometimes with their two-year old son Luca.
However, Duff made her decision when news came up of Comrie having a wild drunken night in Mastro’s Steakhouse in Beverly Hills. According to a source for Us Weekly, Comrie was hitting on a waitress ,but was rejected and so he went up to another woman. The source added that Comrie threw money at the second woman and asked for sex. And so, not surprisingly, Duff filed the divorce papers the day after.
As of the moment, Duff has not said anything related to a new possible relationship. Although during the Cosmopolitan interview, she mentioned about her ex-boyfriend Aaron Carter, who had tweeted of his feelings for her and his determination to get her back. In response to that, Duff said, “Him reaching out through social media? It’s ridiculous!”, then adding in a short diss, “But then people do it all the time, like Chris Brown and Karrueche? Come on, guys. Keep it between text messages.”
To catch Hilary Duff’s full interview with Cosmopolitan, watch out for the April 2015 issue’s release on Tuesday, March 10.
