After the holiday party, Lolly (Sarah Goldberg) went home to celebrate Becca Brady’s (Laura Ramsey) first published article, only to discover Becca kissing Kevin (Steve Talley), which caused her to leave the apartment for several days. Becca tried to call her up, but she refused to answer. Melanie Morelli (Jessy Hodges) then passed by to make sure that she was going to go to her and Andy Kelly’s (Nick Clifford) engagement party.
Meanwhile, Noelle (Alexandra Chando) picked several of Sean Reeve’s (Craig Horner) pieces to be featured in an art gallery show which would open in a few days, and invited Paige (Drew Sidora) to go, who had an audition for a part for a television show.
Jamie Brady (John Patrick Amedori) then started to panic after he discovered that his apartment had been robbed, and had taken his father’s prescription pad, which could land Jamie’s father into a lot of trouble.
At the same time, Becca accidentally ran into Kevin at a Chinese Restaurant, and she told him that they shouldn’t be together because she wanted to preserve her friendship with Lolly.
The next day, she was surprised as Lolly had returned, and told her that it was okay if she and Kevin were together.
Afterwards, Becca attended the engagement party, in which they surprised everyone by getting married right then and there. The next morning, when they were opening their presents, Andy noted that Becca had given him a vase that he had his eye on, but didn’t tell Melanie that it was from Becca.
Meanwhile, Lolly became increasingly worried about Jamie, who told her not to worry about him, and later told her that he didn’t care about her anymore. Kevin then talked to Lolly at the video store, and she gave him her blessing to be with Becca.
During the art show, Sean waited for Paige to show up, and celebrated with Noelle after learning that he had sold two paintings that night. Afterwards, Paige apologized and told him that she was leaving for Los Angeles, where she would be staying for the next three months, as she had gotten the part, and told him that they weren’t meant to be together. When he got back to his apartment building, he found Noelle with a case of beer, and he invited her up.
Meanwhile, Kevin met up with Becca, and after a rainy walk, the two stayed up all night just talking to each other. Afterwards, they decided to give their relationship a go with the provision that they could both walk away from it any time they wanted to. She then told Lolly that she and Kevin had just talked the night away, and Lolly insisted that it was alright with her if they pursued a relationship together.
Later that day, Jamie, who realized that Lolly really loved him and that he needed to get his act together, came clean to his father about what had happened. He then got his lawyer on the phone and promised Jamie that they would get through things together, but Jamie just left, and told Lolly at the countdown party that he loved her. She told him that she loved him as well and became worried after Jamie told her that he would disappear for a while to make things right.
During the party, while Becca went to get drinks for them, Lolly realized that Becca had been with Kevin before as she knew everything about him. After confronting Becca, she finally told Lolly that they had stopped talking to each other because she had admitted in 2003 to Lolly that she and Kevin had been seeing each other for six months behind her back. After she ended their friendship, Becca ran to the elevator, crying, where everything began. She then pounded the buttons and screamed that she wanted to go back. The door then opened and she looked up.
