‘Hocus Pocus’ Sequel Delayed By Walt Disney Says Actress Bette Midler
The “Hocus Pocus” sequel announced in 2014 by Disney is speculated to take some more time to come out finally. Bette Midler starred as Winifred Sanderson aka Winnie in the lead role of the original 1993 classic cult broke the news on Twitter recently informing that the reboot is delayed. The fans eagerly waiting for the sequel of unforgettable witches’ tale are definitely going to get upset with the news. According to Entertainment Online, the 69-year-old Midler stated that Disney is not able to find a virgin hence the movie is delayed. As a matter of fact, the “Hocus Pocus” sequel was never officially announced but Midler along with her co- actors have expressed their interest to reprise their roles in the sequel. The news came in just a few days ahead of Halloween.
The classic cult is extremely popular and it can be assessed from the fact based on twitter comments and replies that fans actually want “Hocus Pocus” sequel to happen.
Midler also stated once that fans must send cards to Walt Disney Company mentioning about the sequel to happen. They are the ones who decide whether it happens or not. She further mentioned that her co-actors Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy are willing to get back for “Hocus Pocus” again.
The original “Hocus Pocus” is based on Sanderson Sisters who are witches trio who are restored to life by a young boy in Salem, Massachusetts. The film did not respond well initially and received negative critic views only after its theatrical release the movie went off very well and later titled as a classic cult.
