Harris, who will be seen once again in the get-up of Eve Moneypenny in her upcoming movie “Spectre,” said that in Hollywood good scripts are dominated by male actors leaving lesser options for female characters. She also said that as the options are lesser, actresses get offers from all genres- feminist and Bond girl types.

‘I think you absolutely can now [be a feminist and a Bond girl], said the actress in an interview to Cosmopolitan. She further stated, ‘You might get four scripts and think “Oh, OK.” It’s very difficult to find roles as well-written as male ones, and with as much screen time.” “Then there’s one amazing script that sparks your imagination, and gets you really excited. They are there, it’s just they’re mostly dominated by male roles…,” said the actress in the same interview.

Even though, Harris said that offers related to strong characters are less, but she also gave few examples of how good roles offered and who all are supporter of tough characters for women. She took director Sam Mendes name for liking strong multidimensional woman character in films and Bond producer Albert’s daughter Barbara Broccoli always develop strong characters, like Monica Bellucci’s character in “Spectre.”

Harris speaks about the condition of women in Hollywood following fellow actress Marion Cotillard’s comment in which she said, “Film-making is not about gender. For me, it doesn’t create equality, it creates separation.” The 007 girl took names of Meryl Streep, Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon who have established themselves as strong female counterparts against male, but still said that equality is missing.

The 39-year-old actress also talked about her plans for marriage and having kids and added that her friends keeps on forcing her to get married and have kids but every time she gave same reply to them, “What will be will be.”
