‘Homeland’ Taking on A Different Path For Season 5

Over the years, “Homeland” dealt with America and Middle East and it revolves around terrorist attacks and CIA agents. Claire Danes has captured our hearts as the mentally unstable CIA agent Carrie Mathison. It kind of something that would be difficult to let go of when we’ve seen four seasons of her running around, doing some intelligence work on her own and at the same time, dealing with terrorists. Read on for more details.

According to Vanity Fair, the show has just confirmed that they are going to do a time jump. It will now set “two-and-a-half years” after the end of the fourth season. And that being said, Carrie will no longer be working as a CIA agent. This is the kind of shocking because there are still a lot of things left to do. What will happen to Haqqani and Saul? And, of course, how is she going to deal with Quinn now?

Alex Gansa, the writer of the show has revealed that they are moving the shooting location to Europe. This is definitely a big change of scene and this may be Carrie’s lair now. Will she be working from Europe or will she be dealing with other issues in Europe?

When it comes to time jumps, the show has done it already from Carrie being pregnant in the end of Season 3 and her being an absentee mother during Season 4. However now, there’s going to be a huge change. It basically would make “Homeland” and entirely different show when Season 5 airs.

I wonder how this one’s going to play out. Will this be a great change for the show or not? If you remember, the death of Brody (Damien Lewis) had such a huge impact on the show and it was kind of difficult to pick up the pace again in season 4 but the show managed to do so.

What do you think of this change for “Homeland?” Do you think it’s a good thing? Let us know by posting your comments below!
