Abattoir: New Horror Movie Promises A Unique Murder House [WATCH]
Christmas season does not stop horror movie Abattoir from showing up in theaters. It is the upcoming horror film from Saw II-IV director Darren Lynn Bousman. Find out what this movie is all about!
Aside from Saw franchise, Bousman also directed the avant-garde movie Repo! The Genetic Opera, according to Entertainment Weekly. His specialty in filmmaking is the horror and psychological thriller genre, as seen in his track record. It also includes his more recent Alleluia! The Devil’s Carnival, The Barrens, 11-11-11, Mother’s Day, Identity Lost and Butterfly Dreams.
Bousman’s new horror movie Abattoir stars 90210 actress Jessica Lowndes, playing the real estate journalist Julia Talben.
It follows the story of Julia who faces the brutal murder of her family. Eventually, the cops classify the crime as an open-and-shut case. However, there is still an underlying mystery when Julia finds out that the murder room is literally removed from the house.
Later, Julia works with her ex-boyfriend who is a detective to solve the intriguing case. As the investigation progresses, they reach a small town where the puzzling Jebediah Crone lives. Jebediah strangely buys houses with tragic histories. They also find the Abattoir, a gigantic house composed of various rooms merged together and haunted by troubling events. Julia then discovers the soul of her sister trapped inside there.
Moreover, Christopher Monfette from 12 Monkeys of Syfy network wrote the plot. Dark Web Productions, Les Enfants Terribles and Luminary Entertainment produce the upcoming horror movie.
The film also stars Lin Shaye from another hit horror movie Insidious, Dayton Callie from popular series Sons of Anarchy, Joe Anderson, John McConnell, Bryan Batt, Michael Pare, J. LaRose, Jay Huguley, Aiden Flowers, Carol Sutton and Josh Berger.
Abattoir premieres in theaters, on Digital HD and VOD on December 9.
