‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2:’ Jennifer Lawrence Is To Blame For Low Opening At Box Office?
We recently watched the most anticipated film after “Spectre,” “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2,” however this Jennifer Lawrence starer movie has not been much successful in its first week at the box office. Read On!
The film merely opened at 101 million dollars that was an unexpected drop in its grossing; it has, however, opened at a much better rate if we compare the film’s previous version’s grossing two years back. This was the final film of the franchise and, so far seems, almost failed to create an impact on the audience. There might be many reasons behind this fall, let’s deeply look at what went wrong.
One factor which might have acted as repulsion for audience is untimely presence of Jennifer Lawrence to fit into the age bound character. No doubt that the actress looked her best and gave her best shot and even she has carried out the beauty of her role gracefully, somehow she looked too much for that role.
The character’s demand was not as much as it has been portrayed into the film. Rather it seems to be overgrown and overburdened. In the film, often, the role that the starlet has played appeared to be less directionless and unrealistic. Other reason might have been a simple age factor where Jennifer who is actually 25, looks much older than the character’s real age in the film.
Although, Jennifer Lawrence has always maintained a different kind of charm and aura whenever she has made her public appearances, her developments or rather called evolution has happened a bit faster on the screen, taking about her other famous roles like the one in “American Hustle,” she has aptly depicted what was required.
Well, the producers-directors of the film are surely going to be alright with the age factor of Jennifer Lawrence, they might give some other reasons for the film’s seeming failure after it failed to reach the expected target in the first week.
