‘The Incredibles 2’ Update: Composer Michael Giacchino to Return to Create Musical Score
Veteran music composer, Michael Giacchino is returning to create the musical score for The Incredibles 2. Director, Brad Bird, confirmed that Michael Giacchino would return to score music for the second movie in “The Incredibles” franchise.
Michael Giacchino has a lot of experience in writing killer music scores for animated features. He has already created music for hit animated features like “Cars 2,” “Ratatouille” and “Inside Out.” Latin Post reports that when the director of “The Incredibles 2” tweeted that Michael Giacchino had been signed on to write music for the film, Giacchino tweeted back, “Looking forward to being back in business with Mr. I and family.”
It is not surprising that Brad Bird picked Giacchino for his next venture. MNG had earlier reported about his possible return. Screen Rant reports that the two have already collaborated on many successful movies together. They were very successful with “Ratatouille” and “Tomorrowland.”
Giacchino was very successful with the collaborations. He was nominated for an Academy Award for his score on “Ratatouille” in 2008. He also won the Oscar for Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures, Original Score in 2010 for another Disney/Pixar collaboration, “Up.”
Ecumenical news reports that Samuel L Jackson is also going to reprise his role as Frozone. Jackson is very enthusiastic to play the role. He famously told the press, “I guess they could be “The Incredibles” without Frozone, but I think Frozone would be a wonderful addition to what’s already there.”
Other characters have not been confirmed, but Brad Bird did indicate that the three kids from the movie will be all grown up. The movie will focus on the youngest member of the Parr family, Jack-Jack. It has even been insinuated that Jack-jack will be all grown up in the next film and will play a pivotal role in the story. We look forward to a surprising twist in the tale.
