‘Independence Day: Resurgence’ Prequel Comic To Be Released Ahead Of Movie
The iconic scifi alien thriller “Independence Day” is about to make a much awaited come back with its sequel “Independence Day: Resurgence” almost after 20 long years. Titan Comics is said to fill the time gap with a prequel comic that will elaborate how aliens lost against humans in last 20 years and a subsequent lead to the Resurgence sequel. According to Digital Trends, in a recent announcement made by Titan Comics, it was revealed that they will publish an official comics ahead of “Independence Day: Resurgence” release to create a background of what lead to Resurgence actually.
The title and release date of the book is yet to be announced by publishing house as the editor Steve and their creative team is still working on it. It is believed that the comic idea is a golden opportunity to bind two eras and will subsequently brush up the memory of audience too before they encounter Resurgence at big screen.
The movie is in the hands of director Roland Emmerich, who has successfully played the same role for original “Independence Day” along with Brent Spiner, Bill Pullman, Judd Hirsch, Vivica A. Fox and Jeff Goldblum who will reprising their original avatar. The cast is expanded with new faces like Joey King, Angelababy, and William Fichtner to name a few.
The sci-fi disaster thriller redefines a new defence technology for the planet to keep it more secured from aliens after their defeat in first part. But everyone was sure of their return which does happen, they come back to threaten humanity again and few brave men and women combat their forces.
“Independence Day: Resurgence” is set to release on June 24, 2016.
