‘Iron Man 4’ Delayed As Robert Downey Jr. Demands Pay Hike

The long awaited “Iron Man 4” might take some more time to finalize, as Robert Downey Jr. demands for a pay hike. It seems as if the actor will continue to reign the industry as an highest paid actor for the following year too. As per sources, Robert Downeys’ pay has become the prime reason for the delay of the film. Read on to find out more about the scoop.

According to VC Post, director Shane Black believes that Downey will return for “Iron Man 4” for sure. Downey is said to be the highest paid actor in the international scene after receiving around $80 million pay in last one year.


Downey has reportedly demanded a $50 million increase in his salary to continue as Iron Man. Marvel executives do intent to go for a the sequel but so far nothing has been materialized between Marvel and Downey. It is speculated that Marvel is still in talks with the star for settling a right quote.

Downey Jr. has been associated with Marvel since 2008. As the worldwide franchise fans have known the association of Downey and character Tony Stark for so many years, Marvel Studios does not have too many options only to accept the terms of the actor. He undeniably is considered instrumental in recording the success of Iron Man and its sequels, Christian Post stated.

Robert Downey Jr. will be appearing in upcoming movies like “Captain America: Civil War” and two subsequent “Infinity War” films. Well, for “Iron Man 4” we all have to wait for an official announcement weather Marvel Studio will sign him again with the demanded pay hike or not.
