J. K. Rowling Gives 12 Harry Potter Short Stories for Christmas

Harry Potter fans will definitely feel the Christmas spirit with as author J. K. Rowling announces the release of 12 new stories expanding the Wizarding World this Holiday season. Read on to know the details of this feature.

Harry Potter is basically this generation’s ultimate franchise as its fans grew up as the movie progressed to eight films that began with “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” back in 2001 and ended with “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2” in 2011. Running for 10 years straight, it’s safe to say that fans cannot simply get over the film with one go. Pretty sure most of them would be going on binge "Harry Potter" movie marathons but still feel like wanting more of the franchise. That’s just how strong their thirst for the-boy-who-lived fandom. In light of such matter, this year marked Warner Bros.' announcement for the many follow-ups regarding upcoming "Harry Potter" spinoff movies. It’s this year that they confirmed a possible threequel production for J. K. Rowling’s 2001 published book “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.” Fans couldn’t be happier that Harry’s life may have come to pass, but there’s certainly more about the Wizarding World that Rowling and Warner Bros. could create. Now in light of the Holiday season, author J. K. Rowling is giving out 12 Christmas stories for free but with a twist to all "Harry Potter" fans out there.


 In The Hollywood Reporter’s scoop, 12 stories will be posted on the official "Harry Potter" website, Pottermore. It was announced last Friday, Dec. 5, 2014 that users of the creative website will gain access to these stories by answering the rhyming riddles given by the site. "Christmas is coming early to Pottermore. The site promises a #PottermoreChristmas surprise every day, which includes wonderful new writing by J. K. Rowling in Moments from Half-Blood Prince," as stated from the message.

Starting on Dec. 12, 2014 towards the very Christmas Day, fans can start riddling their way through these short and new stories created by none other than J. K. Rowling. Huffington Post gave additional information that the stories will be revolving around Draco Malfoy, among others.

J. K. Rowling certainly knows how to give "Harry Potter" fanatics their share for the Christmas cheers. She certainly brought it on last October when she shared writing about Umbridge’s backstory for Halloween.
