James Gunn Confirmed Return Of Vin Diesel As Groot For ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2’
The sequel of “Guardians of the Galaxy” is going to bring back many familiar faces on board. The action packed superhero flick is based on marvel comics and first came out in 2014. According to Cinemablend, while interacting with fans and followers on a social networking site Gunn confirmed return of “Fast and Furious” actor for tree like tall humanoid Groot. As regarding the rumors of third sequel, they say it was clearly discarded by Gunn. So yes, Vol 2 is definitely on the cards.
It was since the comeback of Diesel remains the reason to wonder as in the first part we saw Groot as a tiny sapling dancing behind Drax. Now, we have to wait to watch weather the sapling gained full stature or not. It also would look weird to watch the younger version if it remains as it is with different voice.
As stated by Slashfilm, nothing is officially disclosed about the plot of movie. However, it is speculated that some characters are certainly going to play important roles in the upcoming sequel like Yondu played by Michael Rooker, Nebula played by Karen Gillan and Gamora played by Zoe Saldana.
Tyler Bates will take the charge of films’ score again. The “Super” composer is said to work on the tunes of 70s’ – 80s’ hits for the tracks. The initial drafts of the sequel are already done and “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2” is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2016. Vol 2 will hit the theatres on May 5, 2017.
