Taking on a variety of characters whether in TV or in films, James Spader is someone that you can consider to have such an affluent and dynamic range of career. Looking to his roles in one of NBC’s latest series, “The Blacklist,” and appearing in movies such as the “Secretary,” one cannot easily assume the fact that he will now be seen in the big screen as the gigantic robot named Ultron in Marvel’s “Avenger’s Age of Ultron.”
We have already built up the idea that he is playing the upturned villain who will be confronting Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, but up until now, we are still pretty clueless in how this antagonist will appear to be. In the post of Cinema Blend that featured James Spader’s interview with the upbeat talk show host, Jimmy Fallon, in “The Tonight Show,” he shares that Ultron will be massive not just in strength but also in size. Define massive? How about a robot that is standing 8-feet tall?
“I’m Ultron, eight-foot-robot,” begun James Spader on ComicBookMovie.com as he related his “Avengers: Age of Ultron” experience. “We finished the season of Blacklist, and two days later I got on a plane and flew to London to shoot the Avengers. And then right after that came back here to New York and flew immediately to Comic-Con. And then flew back from Comic-Con to start shooting the second season of Blacklist. “
It is directed by Joss Whedon and produced by Kevin Feige. It also features the following cast: Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany. The movie is set to hit theaters on May 1, 2015.
