Janet Jackson Announces New Album, Tour Dates Begin In July
Janet Jackson is back! After being out of the limelight, the singer has announced that she has a new album and is ready to go on a world tour soon!
On Saturday, the singer took to Twitter to share the exciting news:
“I promised you’d hear it from my lips, and now you will,” she said in the video clip.
“This year: new music, new world tour, a new movement.”
Fans of Janet Jackson are definitely giddy with excitement after hearing the announcement. After all, it’s been a few years since we’ve heard from the pop star. As reported by E! News, the “Together Again” singer has been keeping it low key after she married billionaire Wissam Al Mana in 2012. Some fans got a little too worried with Janet’s seeming disappearance that they have created several mock-up missing posters of the singer.
“Seriously, Janet, where the hell are you? We NEED you back. We miss you. Your fans miss you. The MUSIC INDUSTRY NEEDS YOU. Come back and show these young whippersnappers how it’s done!” the poster read.
“We’re not asking. We’re BEGGING!”
The poster definitely caught Janet Jackson’s attention, calling it “too funny, too sweet.” But hey, the technique work! A year after the 25th anniversary of her “Rhythm Nation 1814” album, the singer is now ready to release a few tunes that will surely make fans wonder why she took a break after all.
As reported by ET Online, Spotify has previously revealed that her first tour is happening on July 28 at the Comerica Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona. The news, however, has yet to be confirmed by the singer.
