Jennifer Aniston & Owen Wilson Get Tangled in a Web of Lies in ‘She’s Funny That Way’
Things are going to get really confusing in the new comedy movie that features Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston in “She’s Funny That Way.” Read on to know more about this preview.
Out of the many Hollywood artists who didn’t make much splashes last year, Owen Wilson has been one of those who knew how to keep things settled. He co-starred in numerous films, but they didn’t really uphold his name all that much. The actor was pretty much okay with the sidelines, but things might take a turn for this year as he stars in a comedy that reunites him with his family, canine drama-comedy “Marley & Me” partner and recent crowd stunner in her recent performance in “Cake” — Jennifer Aniston. However, the two will not be connected by a dog rather a rising star-slash-prostitute in “She’s Funny That Way.”
“Everybody seems to be confused tonight.” – In the movie, Wilson plays the role of a legally committed Broadway director who gets caught in an affair with a prostitute (Imogen Poots) dreaming of becoming an actress someday. She also happens to be engaged in an active therapy session with a professional (Jennifer Aniston). Just when their lives got confusingly mixed up, things went chaotic the moment she auditioned for a play that was directed by the same man she was in sexual cahoots with. This then triggered a colossal web of lies that involved everyone in the production just so their previous illicit affair remains unknown to the beloved director’s wife.
According to Screen Rant, the movie is basically a wacky version of one of this year’s Academy Awards nominees for Best Picture, Alejandro González Iñárritu’s “Birdman.” The movie doesn’t really have that “blockbuster” essence embedded into it, but it’s definitely the kind that would make one relax, especially with the way it attracts younger, wittier audiences.
The cast members include Imogen Poots, Kathryn Hahn, Will Forte, Rhys Ifans and Cybill Shepherd. It will be directed by Peter Bogdanovich. Overall, “She’s Funny That Way” seems like a worthwhile film to watch when it opens on April 10, 2015.
