Jennifer Aniston Talks About Oscars and ‘Allure’ Cover on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’
The start of the New Year was both memorable and not-so-memorable for Jennifer Aniston. But with all the support she needed, especially from fiancé Justin Theroux, she shows that everything’s all right in her world.
On Monday, Jan. 19, 2015, Aniston was invited as a guest to “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” Among the topics the two friends talked about were of Aniston not being included in the Oscar nominations released last Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015, and her topless photo for the January issue of Allure magazine.
Despite being previously nominated for the Golden Globe Awards, the Critics’ Choice Award and the SAG Award, Aniston was not nominated for an Oscar for her role in the movie “Cake.” But instead of sulking for the snub, Aniston took it all in her stride, saying “Yeah. I’m the number one snubbed! That’s the silver lining!” amidst the audience’s laughter.
Another rather controversial topic DeGeneres opened up in the show was the cover of the January issue of Allure magazine, showing a topless Aniston hugging an equally topless tattooed man who happens to be her hairstylist and old friend Chris McMillan.
With regards to the photo, Aniston revealed that a lot of people have been asking her fiancé of his reaction on the photo. But then again, since it was just good old buddy McMillan, Theroux reportedly didn’t panic over it, aside from the fact that McMillan also just got married last November 2014.
Aniston also added that she thinks of McMillan as “a dear something to me. I don’t know how to explain it, a gay man I can do that with. I wouldn’t do that with a girlfriend. I would feel weird doing a photograph like that with a girlfriend.”
At this point, DeGeneres exclaimed, “What are you talking about? The shoot we did was amazing.” The host then revealed an edited image of two topless women hugging and sporting hers and Aniston’s faces.
