Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Schumer Are Writing A Comedic Screenplay Together For their First Collaboration

What happens when you bring two adorable female celebrities together? Fun, frolic and something amazing? How about the above three? For many fans, this is a little dream come true as the “Hunger Games” star is collaborating with “Trainwreck” star Amy Schumer who also happens to be her new best friend. Read on for more details.

According to New York Times, Lawrence met a reporter to discuss her last appearance as Katniss Everdeen in “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay- Part 2,” which will release in November. It was during the conversation about the movie that it suddenly drifted towards other casual topics, one specifically about the screenplay Lawrence is writing with her ewfound best friend.


The “X-Men: First Class” star let the cat out of the bag when she revealed that she is writing a screenplay for a comedy movie she will be doing with the “Trainwreck” star. According to the actress, she and Schumer will be playing sisters in the movie. She added that they are almost done writing it and have reached about 100 pages. She also mentioned that it just started flowing out of them hence they decided to just go with the flow and pen it down.

The actress also believes that they are creatively made for each other. It was since the both of them have such different flavors in comedy but it has been the most fun experience of her life. Lawrence also recalled the moment when she first emailed her after she loved Amy’s performance in “Trainwreck” and slowly the emails became texts before officially going on a holiday together that involved jet skiing.

CNN reports that during this jet skiing vacation, Schumer posted a picture of her and Lawrence that delighted the whole of Internet. The picture shows an evident ecstatic comedienne sitting behind Lawrence who can be seen driving the Jet Ski. The two actresses surely had lots of fun on the vacation together. Fans will surely look forward to watching the movie they have been writing for a while. Till the meantime, an official announcement about the same is expected soon.
