Jennifer Lawrence Bares ALL as ‘X-Men’ character Mystique on Empire cover
Jennifer Lawrence is nearly nude and blue from head to toe in the cover shot for the March issue of Empire magazine. The Oscar winning actress leaves little to the imagination in the striking image, depicting her “X-Men” character Mystique to promote her upcoming action flick, X-Men: Days of Future Past.
The 23-year-old star had to spend several hours in the makeup chair to be transformed into the shape-shifting mutant for 2011’s ‘X-Men: First Class.’ However she was spared that intensive process for the sequel, Days of Future Past, and for which she seemed happy.
“I’m so excited because I’m going to wear a body suit,” J.Law told E! Online after last year’s Oscars said. “It will be from neck down so it will cut out time and the blisters.”
In a September interview with SciFiNow, Lawrence also opened about details of Mystique’s look in the upcoming film telling how the new look is different from the previous one, and what that means for her character.
“Some of the Mystique look is a little different, but we’re still using the same paint,” she revealed. “But she’s different in this film too. She was struggling — like a lot of normal humans — with the way she looked, and she was covered up a lot in the first movie, but this time she is Mutant and proud.”
“I’m naked,” she said. “But when I do get to wear clothes, I love the ’70s outfits.”
X-Men: Days of Future Past, which also stars Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellan, Halle Berry and Ellen Page, is due in theaters May 23.
