Jennifer Lopez ‘doesn’t know’ if she’ll tie the knot for the fourth time
After three failed marriages, Jennifer Lopez is unsure whether she’ll ever marry her boyfriend Casper Smart. While she may not be ready to walk down the aisle for a fourth time, she still ‘believes in love’ and that’s the key thing for her.
“I don’t know. We’ll see. I don’t know,” the 44-year-old star opened up about her personal life during a press conference promoting season 13 of American Idol.
“You know, I’ve always believed in that institution, my parents were married for a very long time, they were married for 35 years. I believe in it, it’s difficult,” J.Lo continued. “I’ve had my challenges but at the same time I believe in love and I think that that’s the main thing.”
Lopez, who has been dating with the 26-year-old beau Casper for two years, finally admitted she prefers to be in a relationship.
“I’m one of those people who does not like to be alone,” she said. “I have no shame saying that at this point in my life. I think we have to own who we are.”
The actress continued and told that her hunky man isn’t only supportive to her, but he’s just Fantastic with her children.
“I don’t like the word father figure, but he’s fantastic with the kids and he helps me very much with my work,” she replied when asked whether Casper is a good father figure for her kids.
“It was his idea, he knew I had the idea to do ‘Same Girl,’ and go shoot that in the Bronx and he was like, ‘When are we going to be in New York again? Come on I’ll do it with you, let’s go do it. Let’s put that dream down for you.’ And he basically produced it with me, so he’s fantastic in that way.”
While J.Lo may have found love with the 18-year younger Smart, she had a very rocky romance life. She remained married to Ojani Noa from 1997 to 1998 and then she was wed to Cris Judd from 2001 to 2003. Just a year later, she married Marc Anthony, with whom she has yet to finalize her divorce.
The Same Girl also recalled travelling the globe on her solo world tour with her twins, who turn 6 next month.
“That was such a transformative year for me anyways,” Lopez revealed ahead tonight’s premiere of Idol’s 13th season.
“I had just divorced and I went on tour with the kids and I left Idol and it was like all of my security blankets were out and gone and I was doing something that I had never done before,” she said. “So my goal was to not just come out the other side and survive it, but it was to grow as a human being as well as an artist and I felt that I did and I learned a lot.”
