‘Jessica Jones’ Update: Official Trailer and Premiere Date Released [WATCH VIDEO]
The entire world was treated to an interesting and rare treat last Apr. 2015 when MARVEL and Netflix debuted the first in a series of television shows featuring street level New York based superheroes called “The Defenders,” beginning with “Daredevil”. Since then, fans and viewers of the show and the “Defenders” characters eagerly awaited for more news regarding the next series in the line-up, entitled “Jessica Jones,” which will center on the titular private investigator and former superhero. However, fans and viewers now have a definite premiere date to look forward to as the premiere date, as well as the official trailer of the series has just been released. Read on to learn more about the official trailer of “Jessica Jones” and the premiere date of the second in the line- up which will culminate with “The Defenders.”
MARVEL and Netflix’s “Daredevil”, starring Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson became the talk of the town right after its release on Apr. 10, 2015. It was due to its different style and approach to the superhero known as “The Man Without Fear”.
Since then, fans and viewers have been eagerly awaiting the premiere of “Jessica Jones”, which will be the second series to focus on one of the members of “The Defenders”, which will also have its own television show in the future.
Fans, however, of MARVEL and of Jessica Jones will no longer need to wait long to see the private investigator and former superhero grace the internet and the small screen, as the official trailer of the show, which recently just debuted on the official website of MARVEL, has announced that all thirteen episodes will be released on November 20, 2015.
The official website of MARVEL also released the official trailer of the show. It was an interesting combination of psychedelic colors, camera angles, and shadow play.
In the trailer, a camera lens was shown, as if the viewer was looking out from it, which focused on a specific street sign. Afterwards, a glass full of orange fluid was spilled onto the screen. It later showed two silhouettes seen through the window of the office door of Alias Investigations., which shattered later on. It allowed the scene to transition to a seemingly dead body on the street, which quickly shifted to the silhouette of the New York skyline.
Finally, the silhouette of Jessica Jones herself was seen on the streets of New York, with text that read that it was high time for the world to know who she was.
The series, according to Comic Book.com, is based on the character created by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Gaydos. It focuses on the titular character who becomes a private investigator, who ends up helping others in need, after quitting her job a superhero due to a personal tragedy.
As she tries to build a life for herself once more, as a normal citizen in the world, Jessica Jones, who will be portrayed by Krysten Ritter, will have to battle with her inner demons. She is still suffering from post traumatic stress disorder due to the aforementioned tragedy that recently happened.
The series, stars Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones; David Tennant as Kilgrave; Rachael Taylor as Patricia “Trish” Walker, or “Hellcat”; Mike Colter as the Defender Luke Cage; and Carrie-Anne Moss.
