A closing prayer then an NYPD cadre and four horseback riders who, I was told, did not come cheap,” revealed Joan’s close friend Cindy Adams  about  memorial service planning to Page Six.

E! Online also reported that her coffin was brought to a crematorium in New Jersey on Sept. 6, 2014. ABC News claims that  Joan told The Daily Beast that she wanted to be cremated and told Melissa, “Sell anything and everything you don’t want. Don’t feel beholden to my possessions,” The stand-up comedian had beforehand given comprehensive details in her 2012 book entitled “I Hate Everyone… Starting With Me exactly,” what she sought for her interment.

She wrote in her book, “I want my funeral to be a huge showbiz affair with lights, cameras, action. I want Craft services, I want paparazzi and I want publicists making a scene! I want it to be Hollywood all the way.”

Joan continued, “”I don’t want some rabbi rambling on; I want Meryl Streep crying, in five different accents.”I want to look gorgeous, better dead than I do alive. I want to be buried in a Valentino gown and I want Harry Winston to make me a toe tag.”

Her concluding desire was, “And I want a wind machine so that even in the casket my hair is blowing like Beyoncé’s.”

Joan wanted all the  tinsel-town action in her final journey, and Melissa did everything she could to make fulfill her mother’s last wish. We hope with all her family and friend efforts to embody her last wish her soul should be resting in peace in heaven.
