‘John Wick’ Sequel Update: Keanu Reeves Will Lead As John Wick?
The 2014 action thriller “John Wick” is announced to get a sequel. The Chad Stahelski and David Leitch directorial came up as a surprise hit and received positive reviews from critics. Read on to find out more about the “John Wick” sequel scoop.
The “Knock Knock” star Keanu Reeves, who appeared in the lead role of John Wick, stated that the movie has a good potential to carry on with the sequel. Reeves said, “it is an organic premise where, John is the married guy whose wife just died, and that five years of his life. Then there’s John Wick, who’s the mythical assassin. In this, John Wick’s past comes and infiltrates John’s life and John Wick, in a way, has to fight for John, Slash Film reported.
Films dealing with character based stories have lot of scope for more detailed plot and story line. A strong idea in combination with compelling story will definitely regenerate the success of “John Wick” sequel.
“The Matrix” star Reeves further stated that, director Stahelski and writer Kolstad are reviewing the feedback of fans and followers. They are figuring out how the audience felt about the movie and how did they find to explore the idea of a sequel.
Reeves is said to be more determined about the character John Wick and wants to play the best of it. He wants to understand what happens with the character and largely with his emotional side in “John Wick 2.”
The sequel is speculated to follow the same pattern of the action genre depicting the trade mark skills of hero to protect his one side of persona that has been freed from mayhem.
The part one of “John Wick” was exactly the already made template version of action genre dealing with revenge and retribution, but the movie still won accolades from audience and critics.
