Johnny Depp Sells Private Village Worth $26 Million In France
Johnny Depp who is well-known for his role as Jack Sparrow is now selling his 37-acre French estate in Plan de la Tour, near Saint Tropez.
According to CNN, the estate includes a hameau or a small village with guest cottages, a chapel, a bar, a restaurant and other stone structures that surrounds the main house.
The elegant and relaxing place was built more than 200 years ago and has 10,000 square feet of living space. All in all, the village has 12 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms and includes much of Depp’s furnishings and art works that he created in the places’ artist’s studio.
As reported by CNN, Sotheby’s International Realty, the listing agency, Depp “painstakingly restored and decorated all the houses, one by one” and has invested more than $10 million on it.
The idyllic landscape and breathtaking view features rolling hills and a swimming pool. There are also impressive grounds, which includes an orchard of olive trees, numerous fountains, a hunters cabin, an artist’s studio which are still in good condition and were preserved very well.
Besides the grounds, the buyer would also get all the property’s feature and “a great number of personal belongings of the actor himself,” says Sotheby’s.
There are photographs on the realty website that offer a glimpse into Johnny Depp’s private life, who’s known for being protective to his personal life and for staying out of the media’s spotlight.
Depp lived in the place for over 14 years with his then-partner Vanessa Paradis, a French actress and singer.
The private village is up for sale for $26 million or $25.76 million to be exact.
