Josh Duggar Suicidal?: Family Fears For Him After Molestation Scandal
The “19 Kids & Counting” star Josh Duggar’s family members fear that he might attempt suicide due to public shame after his molestation scandal news.
According to Hollywood Life, there is not even a single day when the Duggar’s family is not plagued with Josh’s molestation scandal. It was reported earlier that the 27-year-old Josh Duggar sexually molested young girls, two of them being his little sisters – 22-year-old Jessa Duggar and 24-year-old Jill Duggar, when he was a teenager.
Now, Josh seems to be distressed after all the hate being thrown at him following his molestation scandal news. He has been forced to face unbearable public shame. His family members fear he could end up hurting himself or committing suicide.
“Josh has seen his world and his family’s world crumble,” reports the source. He feels guilty of his fault. He is unable to return to a life of normalcy and is hiding away, thereby making his loved ones to fear the worst. His family members keep a close eye on him in order to ensure that he does not take any steps to harm himself.
Though Josh could not come out of guilt for his past molestation deeds, his sisters Jessa and Jill, who were his victims, have somehow forgiven him. Though the public continues to smash and criticize Josh, the Duggar sisters have done their best to make him come out his guilt and distress.
Steve Ornstein, the Duggar family therapist told, “Victims of this kind of abuse carry a lot guilt and shame that they somehow have some responsibility in what happened to them,” reported the source. He also added that this is the reason why the reality TV show is “dismissing Josh’s sexual assault as if it was nothing.”
July 6 issue of Star magazine, claims that his “parents Jim Bob and Michelle, and 18 siblings are concerned that he could be suicidal.”
