More often than not, Asian actors sometimes tend to expand their area of activities to other countries within Asia. With the outbreak of the Hallyu or Korean wave, it is not uncommon to find Korean actors making their way towards the Chinese Entertainment Industry, where most of them are warmly received, such as the actor Jung Il-woo, who, according to reports, will be having a lot of activity in China for this year. Recently, the Korean star Jung Il Woo has started his activities, to say, his projects in China, and according to a report on All K Pop, he has signed an “exclusive” contract with YUEHUA Entertainment, who will be handling his activities, and all the promotional material for his activities within China.


For their part, it seems that YUEHUA Entertainment is delighted to have Jung Il Woo on their roster, as the star is pretty popular in China as of late.

Just a day or two, after signing a contract with YUEHUA Entertainment, it was announced that the star will be doing his first ever Chinese drama, which will be aired on Hunan TV.

According to the report on All K Pop, the drama will be entitled “Beautiful Woman,” where he will portray a food critic and Korean food blogger named Kim Moon Ho.

The drama will tell the story of the romantic lives of three sisters who are all in the restaurant business.

Jung Il Woo said, in a recent statement after the announcement, that he is nervous to begin filming, as this will be his first ever Chinese drama, but reassured his fans that he will be trying his very best to deliver.

Even though “Beautiful Woman” marks Jung Il Woo’s first Chinese drama, this isn’t his first Chinese project, as, according to Soompi, the actor is part of the Chinese film entitled “Heroine,” and his involvement in the project was confirmed in May this year.
